The Congregation of the Sisters of Our Lady of La Salette is an International Congregation, dedicated to the Apostolate, at the service of the Church and its Mission. It derives its origin from the Apparition of Our Lady of La Salette on September 19, 1846 in La Salette in the Diocese of Grenoble, France.
In the Spirit of Reconciliation, which is the grace of La Salette, the Sisters engage in every form of the Apostolate that is apt to promote the development of the human person through respect for his dignity and liberty. In the milieus where they are sent, they strive to build peace and unity through justice and charity.
The proclamation of the Gospel and of the Message of Our Lady of La Salette is expressed in the life of the Sisters by their dynamic presence in different services of the Church: at the Shrine of our Lady of La Salette, with the Youth, the sick and the poor, in Catechetic, Education and other forms of Pastoral Ministry.
Through the invitation of Archbishop Michael J Miller, CSB, the Sisters arrived in Vancouver on August 19, 2012 and are missioned at the Holy Trinity Parish, North Vancouver.
