John Paul II Pastoral Centre

The administrative headquarters of the Catholic Church in the Lower Mainland, along with more than 100 full- and part-time employees and the many ministries and services.

The four-storey building is on Saint John Paul II Way, southeast of B.C. Children’s and Women’s Hospital.

  • When heading south on Cambie Street, turn right onto 33rd Avenue
  • Drive along 33rd Avenue, the John Paul II Pastoral Centre will be on the righthand side, between Heather and Willow

There is limited parking in front of the John Paul II Pastoral Centre for guests.

Here are other free parking spaces available in the area.

  1. Along Oak Street: 2 hour parking available, from 9:30 am to 3:00 pm and only a 5 min. walk to the building (Restrictions: No stopping from 7:00 am - 9:30 am & 3:00 pm-7:00 pm)
  2. Along 32nd Avenue: Approx. 26 spots available and only a 3-5 min. walk to the back of the building (Restrictions: no stopping from 6:00 pm-  7:00 am)
  3. Along Willow Street: Approx. 10 spots available. (Restrictions: No stopping from 6pm-7am)
  4. Along 33rd Avenue: (1) 2 hour parking available between 9am to 6pm on North Side of the street (2) Approx. 17 spots available on South Side of the street.
  5. Along Heather Street (North of 33rd Avenue): Approx. 24 spots available, 7 min. walk from the building.
  6. Along Heather Street (South of 33rd Avenue): Approx. 30 spots available, 10 min. walk from the building.
  7. Along 37th Avenue: Approx. 21 spots available, 10-15 min. walk from the building.
  8. Near QE Park: Limited parking spaces available, 15-20 min. from the building.


Canada Line to King Edward Station:

  • Take the Canada Line to King Edward Station
  • Take the 15 Cambie bus (Bus stop located on south side of King Edward Avenue) and get off at 33rd Avenue (Approx. an 8-minute bus ride)
  • Head West along 33rd Avenue by foot to the John Paul II Pastoral Centre, located on the right-hand side, between Heather and Willow (Approximately a 5-minute walk)
  • OR Walk south along Cambie and then walk West along 33rd Avenue, located on the right-hand side, between Heather and Willow (Approximately an 18-minute walk)

Canada Line to Oakridge-41st Avenue Station:

  • Take the 15 Cambie bus (Bus stop located at Cambie and 42nd Avenue) and get off at 33rd Avenue (Approx. a 9- minute bus ride)  Head West along 33rd Avenue to the new John Paul II Pastoral Centre, located on the right-hand side, between Heather and Willow (Approx. a 5-minute walk to the new building)
  • OR Walk north along Cambie and then walk West along 33rd Avenue , located on the right-hand side, between Heather and Willow (Approx. a 20-minute walk)

17 Oak:

  • Take 17 Oak to 33rd Avenue
  • Head East along 33rd Avenue to the new John Paul II Pastoral Centre, located on the left-hand side, between Heather and Willow (Approx. a 5-minute walk to the building)
