Prison Ministry

We serve the imprisoned because Jesus is there. His living presence dwells in each inmate. In turn, God has chosen us to be his loving presence in our prisons.

In institutions where loneliness abounds and isolation is everyday, it is presence – both human and divine that we give and receive.

What do volunteers do?

Catholic volunteers seek to share God’s healing and restorative touch to all who have been impacted by crime. Our in-prison ministry addresses the spiritual needs of the incarcerated through Mass, fellowship, letter writing, Bible study, Alpha, Taizé prayer, Rosary making, volunteer-led discussions, visitations and more.

Who should volunteer?

Men and women aged 25+ years
