This role journeys with families and assists them to memorialize their loved one by creating beautiful designs and reverent memorials for their family member. This position works through the entire process on all the products offered to help families choose and design a fitting memorial for their loved one(s).
Key Responsibilities
- Help families design and purchase fitting markers to memorialize a loved one interred or to be interred at Gardens of Gethsemani Cemetery.
- Develop and maintain a marker tracking database to ensure markers are received and installed in a timely manner.
- Process all aspects of memorials and installations per the policies and rules & regulations of the cemetery;
- Maintain a high service standard by providing exceptional and compassionate service to our families.
- Collaborate on promotional materials and product development related to the memorialization program.
- Other general administrative duties as required and directed.
- Maintain excellent relationship with vendors ensuring quality assurance and timeliness of product delivery;
- Communicate production information with families regularly and promptly.
- Participates in promotional events such as Open Houses and ministry events such as the monthly Mass of Remembrance, rosary walks, etc.
Desired Skills and Experience
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including discretion, courtesy, compassion with grieving families;
- Service oriented with a minimum of two (2) years’ experience in the service industry;
- Extreme attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills;
- Ability to deal with confidential information in a professional manner;
- Desktop computing skills: Microsoft suite, Outlook, Adobe Design Software, Nexus (burial system software), Zoom or Microsoft Teams, databases;
- 2 years or more of experience in graphic design and production would be helpful;
- Experience in product management would be helpful.

Working Environment
- This is a full-time (40 hours per week) position. Occasionally the schedule may fluctuate to meet the needs of our families;
- The position is based at Gardens of Gethsemani Cemetery; Occasional travel throughout the archdiocese may be required;
- Normal days of Operation are Monday through Saturday. Workdays will be determined by your supervisor and may change from time to time to meet the needs of the cemetery;
- Occasional evening and weekend work may be required;

- Access to a vehicle would be an asset.
- Salary: $53-63,000.00 per annum plus participation in the bonus pool after 3 months.
