Men's Shelter

We seek to model the caring and compassionate spirit of Jesus by providing transient or destitute men in downtown Vancouver a safe place to sleep, nutritious meals, showers, clean clothing, and help with a wide range of needs, including IDs, education, employment, healthcare, mental health, housing, and connections to resources and peer service providers.

• Who stays at the shelter?
  
  • Our service focuses on helping homeless men, mostly older, by offering them shelter and supportive services. We have a long history of helping older men and around 25% have jobs.
• How many people stay at the shelter at a time?
  
  • We can help up to 115 men per night. 
• What are the hours of operations?
  
  • Our guests check in during mid-to-late afternoon and leave first thing in the morning. Staff are on-site 24 hours per day / 365 days per year.
• Are there any safety risks having the shelter in the neighbourhood?
  
  • Due to the age and profile of our guests, incidents are rare. Our staff and security team are well trained, and strong safety protocols are in place.
