During this Jubilee Year of St. Francis of Assisi, the faithful may receive a plenary indulgence by visiting a church dedicated to St. Francis and fulfilling the Church’s conditions:
- Be in a state of grace
- Have the intention of receiving the indulgence
- Be detached from all sin, even venial
- Go to sacramental confession
- Receive Holy Communion
- Pray for the intentions of the Holy Father (e.g., one Our Father and one Hail Mary)
Only one plenary indulgence may be received per day.
