There is no grief in the Church that is borne in solitude, there are no tears shed in oblivion, because everyone breathes and participates in one common grace.” - Pope Francis

If you are grieving, please accept our condolences for your loss. We hope the resources listed here will help to bring you some comfort.

The Lord can bring us great comfort, but He also reminds us that there is sorrow and suffering in this world. Sometimes that sorrow can feel overwhelming, or it stays with us for the rest of our lives — but with the help of our friends, family and parishes we can find support and understanding.

We hope that the resources and events contained in this website will be the first step in helping support you in your grief journey.

Henri Nouwen says: The friend who can be silent with us in a moment of despair and confusion, who can stay with us in an hour of grief and bereavement, who can tolerate not knowing, not curing, not healing and face with us the reality of our powerlessness, that is the friend who cares.
