New Superintendant Announced

The Catholic Independent Schools of Vancouver Archdiocese (CISVA), on behalf of Archbishop J. Michael Miller, CSB and the Board of Directors is pleased to announce that Sandra Marshall has accepted the position of Superintendent, effective September 1, 2023.

Sandra has been a part of the CISVA for 32 years and has served as teacher and principal, and for the past nineteen years as an Associate Superintendent. She holds a Bachelor of Education, Diploma in Computing Studies, and a Master of Education in Administration and Leadership (UBC).

Sandra has made many notable contributions to the CISVA. As the Associate Superintendent of Educational Services, she has been responsible for the implementation of curriculum in CISVA schools, the delivery of professional development, school evaluations, and educational policy implementation. She has been the Chairperson of the CISVA Catholic Educators’ Conference since 2004. Since 2015 she has served as the point person for the Vision for Learning priority “to guide students in the pursuit of truth, beauty, and goodness in the Catholic intellectual tradition”.

Sandra is currently serving as the Chairperson of the Catholic Independent Schools’ Committee of BC and is an officer on the FISA Board of Directors. She is married with three children and six grandchildren. Sandra and her husband are active members of Sacred Heart Parish in Delta.

Her faith and expertise in Catholic education will ensure the future growth of CISVA schools as communities that are committed to the formation of students in partnership with the home and parish “who will live, celebrate and proclaim their faith”.
