    Rev. Henry Mrema, while visiting Vancouver on a Sabbatical preached a mission appeal in Guardian Angels and Holy Trinity Parishes to raise funds for a truck to service the St. Joseph Vocational Training Center that he runs in Moshi. more

  • Masaka, Uganda (2011)

    Rev. Binu Rathappilil, VC preached at Our Lady of Fatima, Coquitlam, and Immaculate Conception Parish, Delta to raise awareness and funds to support the De Paul Boy’s Home. The home provides free accommodation, food and education for orphaned boys and poor boys in the vicinity. more

  • Moshi, Tanzania (2010)

    Rev. Raymond Santhanaz, OCD preached at Sacred Heart and St. Edmund’s Parishes to raise funds to sponsor poor children in their education and to purchase equipment to provide clean water and to complete the building of a primary school.

  • Diocese of Tororo, Uganda (2010)

    Rev. Joseph Othieno and Rev. Andrew Obel came to Vancouver to tell of the need for an ambulance to service the poor people. They spoke at St. Helen’s and St. Joseph the Worker Parishes. more

    Rev. Joachim Kinuthia, a representative of the Catholic Diocese of Nakaru, Kenya, visited Vancouver to preach and raise awareness of their need to assist famine stricken households following a time of post election violence and severe drought. more

  • Diocese of Sunyani, Ghana (2009)

    Bishop Matthew Kwasi Gyamfi, Bishop of Sunyani in Ghana, West Africa, sent a letter of thanks for contributions from the Archdiocese of Vancouver to assist in building a Presbytery that has greatly helped the spiritual life of those in the community. more
