First Communion for Adults
1322 “The holy Eucharist completes Christian initiation. Those who have been raised to the dignity of the royal priesthood by Baptism and configured more deeply to Christ by Confirmation participate with the whole community in the Lord’s own sacrifice by means of the Eucharist.” (CCC)
Receiving the Eucharist or receiving First Communion is a part of the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA). RCIA is a process for adults who are not Catholic to discover Jesus Christ and be fully joined to the Catholic Church.
