Vancouver's Life Community

Vancouver’s Life Community is pleased to provide seasonal workshops for the Dying Healed program. Sign up for LifeCanda’s – The Dying Healed program today and join many others across Canada as we build up communities to better support those who are vulnerable or socially isolated. The simple act of attending to people who might be lonely, sick, or suffering can bring spiritual healing and restore their sense of dignity.

Dying Healed volunteers will receive formation in the issues surrounding palliative care, euthanasia and assisted suicide, the meaning of human suffering and the power of human presence to heal and bring dignity to others.

Participants will gain more confidence and will be able to apply the skills and knowledge by volunteering in their community or by helping loved ones at home. So many vulnerable people are susceptible to societal messaging that their lives have no value or that they are a burden to society. Our community could do so much, by simply being present to them.

Time and Dates:
These 3 evening’s presentations (6 hours in total), will be held Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

(Nov. 28th – Nov. 30th) 7 p.m. – 9 p.m.

The following panel will lead this interactive workshop:

Natalie Sonnen, Executive Director of LifeCanada.

Annabelle Chong, Executive Director of Vancouver’s Life Community.

Fr. John Horgan, Pastor at St. Pius X.

Each participant will receive a workbook and refreshments are included. Please register a week in advance, so that we will have enough workbooks on hand.

The Make Time for Life campaign draws attention to the Dying Healed program and the volunteer recruitment drive.

Please register here or call 604-733-6266.

Cost: $45/person, for this six hour course. Please pay at the door.
