Diocese of Masaka, Uganda
Father Binu preached a mission appeal at Our Lady of Fatima Parish, Coquitlam, and Immaculate Conception Parish, Delta, and his superior, Father Francis Cheruparampil, VC recently sent a letter of thanks to the parishioners. “I would like to take this opportunity to express our gratitude towards the Archdiocese of Vancouver, to all who have contributed and helped to make his appeal successful. We promise our prayers for all who helped us.” The funds went to the De Paul Boy’s home in Masaka to help provide free accommodation, food and better education. The aim of this house is the integral development of the poor Catholic children who excel in studies and academics.
Prayerful greetings from De Paul Boy’s Home, Uganda, East Africa!
I am extremely glad to inform you that the blessing of De Paul Boy’s Home held on January 16, 2012 by His Lordship Bishop John Baptist Kaggwa, the Bishop of Masaka Uganda. It was a blessed moment to be remembered with heartfelt of Joy and gratitude to God and to you. We are happy to inform you that the construction work of De Paul Boy’s Home is completed. It is a Home for the Needy in African Soil. On the day of blessing of DBH was blessed with many good people as well wishers such as the bishop of Masaka, Provincial Superior of Vincentian Congregation, Marymatha Province in India, many priests, religious sisters, government officials, distinguished guests and lay people.
The main distinguished guests were 23 poor orphans from the various corners of Uganda and it was the first time they stepped into their home for the poor, that is De Paul Boy’s Home (DBH). It was a great wonder for them. Now they are already adjusted with the new place and atmosphere. They are at home now. They are taken care by one priest and one Vincentian Brother. It was our dream to have a home for the poor and now it is actualized with your great financial support and prayer.
On behalf of Vincentian Congregation in Africa, I extend my heartfelt thanks to you and the Archdiocese of Vancouver. If you get a chance, please come and visit this beautiful home and your children. You are most welcome to Uganda.
Thanking you, Yours sincerely,
Fr. Francis Kochuparambil VC, Director of DBH
