Dying Healed Workshop

Participate in this national program which will be piloted in Vancouver, before being rolled out across Canada.

This workshop will help everyone understand how to spend an hour with vulnerable people. With greater confidence you’ll be able to seek volunteer opportunities at hospitals, long term care facilities, or parish based groups. Now more than ever, we can help foster a culture that is more open to life.

The Dying Healed Program does not aim to replace the volunteer programs of the various institutions that exist for elderly or disabled patients, or those in long-term care, palliative or hospice care. In this regard, the program is a “pre-training” program giving formation and knowledge on end-of-life issues, understanding of human suffering, human dignity and the power of human presence.

The following panel will lead this interactive workshop:

  • Fr. Larry Lynn, Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Vancouver, Chaplain for Pro-Life
  • Natalie Sonnen, Executive Director at Life Canada
  • Annabelle Chong, Executive Director at Vancouver’s Life Community

Each participant will receive a workbook and refreshments are included. Please bring a bagged lunch.

Saturday, April 8, from 10 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Christ the Redeemer Parish, West Vancouver in the Meeting Room.To register, visit https://lifecollective.io/vancouver or contact 604-733-6266. Cost: $15/person, please pay at the door.
